About You

As a QA Engineer working within the Test practice here at NTT DATA, you will be working with 1 of our largest Telco clients with expertise in manual testing along with exposure to automation:

  • Extensive experience within Quality Assurance Engineering. 
  • ISTQB Foundation level certification is desirable. 
  • Wide experience in writing test cases for embedded electronic systems from hardware level to the application layer. 
  • Experience in identifying, defining and developing detailed test cases and automated test scripts to test against all relevant product requirements and assure traceability to test cases. 
  • Good knowledge of IT/Network communications protocols. 
  • Experience within Waterfall, Agile anf V-model test methodologies. 
  • Experience in log analysis. 
  • Experience defining and implementing Test Scripts with a Selenium based Automation framework. 
  • Experience in Behaviour Driven Development (BDD). 
  • Extensive experience within Defect Management. 
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of stakeholders and 3rd party suppliers and vendors. 
  • Knowledge in Service Virtualisation, Test Data Management and TDM tools such as Delphix. 

What To Expect?

NTT DATA is building a new capability within their Test practice, including strong QA Engineer skills . This is an exciting new proposition we are developing for our customers across all sectors.  You will:

  • Test products in order to ensure compliance of the delivered functionality and system integrity, performing functional sign-off. 
  • Ability to interpret user requirements, detailed technical and functional specifications and be able to apply the information to plan, develop and execute test cases, scenarios and scripts. 
  • Identify, document and resolve issues and defects in QA environments. 
  • Responsible for manual testing, data testing and some automated test execution testing of the application. 
  • Work closely with the Product Owner's and Developer's to agree test cases and their acceptance criteria. 
  • Preparation of test plans and scripts against new and existing application requirements. 
  • Execute and build out regression testing packs and identify areas for automation. 
  • Coordinate with broader IT teams where there are testing system dependencies. 
  • Manage and troubleshoot defects to resolution while proactively identifying risks to management. 
  • Maintain timely reports on test status and defects.
