About You

As a Service Virtualisation Engineer working within the Test practice here at NTT DATA, you will be working with one of our largest Telco clients with expertise in manual testing along with exposure to automation:

  • Ability to work well both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
  • Genuine interest in the evolution of the software development industry, with the initiative to tackle and understand the newest trends and technologies.
  • Understanding about what Service Virtualisation is and why it is important.
  • Experience with scripting in Bash/Bourne Windows.
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle and associated development best practices.
  • Understanding the testing landscape and the various tools used in the industry.
  • Experience with Cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS.
  • Knowledge of relational or non-relational databases.
  • Understanding of networking and communication protocols.
  • Good understanding of in Service Orientated Architecture (SOA) principles and methodology.
  • Good to have experience of scripting languages such as JavaScript, Jython or Groovy.    

What to Expect?

NTT DATA is building a new capability within their Test practice, including strong Service Virtualisation skills. This is an exciting new proposition we are developing for our customers across all sectors.  You will:

  • Facilitate discussions with Test and Development Teams to determine Service Virtualisation opportunities and feasibility.
  • Create the initial virtual assets for application teams either by performing a recording or using the artefact definition files in case of a web service.
  • Test the Virtual Asset created and deployed in the Virtualise server.
  • Enhance the Virtual Asset to meet the business need by adding dynamic responses, filling up proper data in the request / response section etc.
  • Facilitate as required in identifying bottlenecks and root causes for the problem statements from the overall testing process in the specific application.
  • Domain knowledge of the application, WSDL and XSD files, end point URL information, REST end point, RAML, Swagger, properly structured request and response XML’s, message formats, Queue configuration information etc.
  • After initial assets are created, create the virtual assets by performing a recording or using the service definition files in case of a web service.
  • Validate virtual assets (based on test input) and provide sign-off or communicate the state of the virtual asset to the Project Manager.
