The Role

As NTT DATA invests in a period of sustained growth, we are looking to hire a Senior Subject Matter Expert in our Enterprise Agility practice. 

The Opportunity

You will be at the forefront of the practice playing a central role in advancing our thinking across the full of range guidance we provide to clients on how to become agile enterprises.   Agility, to us, is much more than the practices and techniques associated with software development.  Whilst it is critical you have experience leveraging these techniques at scale (e.g. LeSS or SAFe) we are looking for a confident communicator able help clients propagate agility throughout their organisations and not operate solely in the technology domain.

To do this you will understand the challenges agility presents to traditional organisational structures and how associated governance inhibits the spread of more responsive ways of working. You will have experience working with clients to educate and implement change across functional boundaries.

The Person

You will have a strong technical or delivery background as well as a portfolio of material that represents your original thinking on key themes within the enterprise agility domain (e.g. white papers, conference papers, publications, propositions).

We expect our four enterprise agility propositions (leadership and transformation strategy, empowering the agile organization (e.g. finance, procurement, HR), tooling enablement and agile delivery) to resonate with your interests although we interested in meeting candidates with deep expertise in a subset of these areas.

You will spend your time on a range of activities including:

  1. Research and content development,
  2. Understanding the evolving market
  3. Shaping propositions to reflect client needs
  4. Communicating the opportunity and value associated with enterprise agility within NTT DATA (EMEA) 
  5. Strengthening NTT DATA’s inter-opco community of EA specialists
  6. Engaging with clients in either pre-sales or advisory roles
  7. Nurturing and mentoring staff within the enterprise agility practice

Excellent communication and written skills are vital.  Our expectation is you are able to produce high quality original content with the potential for publication.

  1. To create best-in-class propositions that define how different clients and industries should manage technical development and delivery
  2. To support business development in creating and delivering proposals to new and existing clients
  3. To create re-usable assets from the development delivery work we have undertaken in the UK and EMEA
  4. To work with our other practices to share our experience and grow our footprint through collaboration
  5. To manage a team of consultants on an ad hoc basis for content creation and account support

Please note: parts of this role are client-facing

Experience, Qualifications, Technical Requirements, Education

  • Experience setting-up agile delivery teams
  • Knowledge of DevOps and Automated testing frameworks
  • Knowledge and understanding of Scaled Agile Delivery
  • Agile qualification eg. LeSS, SPC, SAFe 4.6 POPM
  • Proven experience balancing multiple priorities and dealing with ambiguity
  • Proven experience in responding to RFP’s and RFI’s
  • Knowledge on Enterprise solutions and Content Management Systems
  • Proven experience and understanding of global delivery operating models – e.g.: onshore, offshore, near-shore, mixed-shore models
