The Role

We are looking for a back-end developer to collaborate in cross-functional teams as well as expand their skillset across new technologies. You will be joining our core Software Development team, to deliver against our growing client base. For the immediate position, you will be working alongside our insurance client's product development team, to focus on migrating their monolithic to microservices and the development of bespoke solutions on key software products. You will also be working on 3rd party software, using predominately core Java, as well as libraries Springboot.

This role is an exciting opportunity to join us and work within our Agile team in Camberley, Surrey.

The Opportunity

  • The role requires the candidate to take individual responsibility for the overall success of automated testing.
  • Development of web facing applications, using Java as the core language to perform highly concurrent functions.
  • Define and analyse legacy code.
  • Create API’s and test as whole features.
  • Development of user interfaces.
  • Incorporating automated testing into the development project e.g. Unit Testing 

The Person

Hands on recent development experience:

  • Applicable Java Web Framework E.g. Spring, Spring boot, Spring security.
  • Any J2EE, Apache, Tomcat
  • Complete ability to document and design using Visio UML and other modelling tools.
  • Creation and Integration to Web Services
  • Experience in Automated Build and Deployment Processes e.g. Jenkins,
  • CI, Apache, Maven, Gradle.
  • Experience or high level knowledge with tools like Junit, Sonar, Jenkins,
  • SVN, Chef Puppet, Nolio, Selenium, QTP, Atlassian, Jira, or Rally 3 or more.
  • Exposure to responsive design and open source libraries like bootstrap,
  • REST, Swagger.
  • Understanding of Java Script, JQuery, AJAX, AngularJS 2.0.
  • Experience in HTML, HTML5, CSS, NodeJS, Java Script, Unit cases.
  • Strong experience in Object Oriented concepts.
  • Have experience in applying SOLID principles
