The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Bid Manager to join the existing Sales Management team, based in the City of London, working with stakeholders from across the business and from across the industries that we support, including Public Services, Insurance, Telco and Media, Automotive and Manufacturing, managing the full end-to-end bid process.

NTT DATA UK is a growing business and we are looking for someone who is flexible in their approach and has the experience to support us throughout our sales transformation journey.

This role will be accountable to the UK Sales Operations Director.

The Opportunity

  • Manage the complete bid cycle, lead complex bids, write content for PQQs, RFIs, RFPs, ITTs and Frameworks. Contribute to and improve the existing knowledge base.
  • Support growth of the UK business by working with Sector Heads, sales teams and service lines to develop effective solutions and innovative, winning proposals, ensuring that completed bids provide the best fit for client requirements.
  • Lead teams through the formal Contract Authorisation Process (CAP) and the bid governance process so that they are submitted with the correct level of approval.
  • Lead lessons learned session from bids and use these lessons to continuously improve the approach to bids, frameworks, sales material, and presentations.
  • Work in synchrony with the Sales Transformation team to support sales transformation activities
  • Provide information created for bids to supplement the knowledge management repository to support re-use, including:
    • Capability
    • Delivery approaches
    • Practice or subject area content
    • Case studies/references

The Person

  • Extensive bid management experience, ideally within an ICT Services company
  • Demonstrable track record in the development of winning bids.
  • Demonstrable experience and understanding of working across multiple industry sectors.
  • Ability to manage complex bids involving collaboration of multi-skilled teams, multiple vendors and across multiple geographies
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (English), with the ability to work across different geographies.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure, with a commitment to quality and to service improvement.
