The Role

As a Delivery Lead in NTT DATA, you’ll be responsible for the delivery of high-quality software packages (e.g. APIs, Integration and Microservices) and Managed Services which include phases such as discovery, inception, design, build, test, go-live, early live support and on-going managed service. This will involve leading and managing multi-skilled agile teams to deliver your project and/or service across a number market sectors. Thus you will be responsible for being the owner and communication between NTT DATA and their customers, including creating\sharing\explaining commercial and operational information, and ensuring plans and risks are maintained and scope controlled.

 

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Delivery / Principle Solutions Lead, you’ll work dynamically with customers and internal teams to agree/negotiate delivery approaches and maintain contact with the internal governance boards and client partners to support the continued growth of NTT DATA’s business opportunities by managing budgets and resources to ensure expected profitability whilst maintaining NTT DATA’s values and reputation.

As a leader in the field of IT Delivery, you will work with your peers to develop practices and standards, share knowledge, be recognised as an SME and mentor those around you to promote the strong delivery of solutions, including the creation of internal artefacts / services to enable acceleration of quality deliveries to clients on each iteration. You’ll do this whilst advising about new approaches and practices being adopted in in the industry. As such you will be supported with room to learn, gain qualifications, develop and grow.

 

The Person

  • Proven track record of delivering and being accountable for complex IT projects of work for large enterprises for 5+ years in the role of an IT Project Manager and / or Scrum Master
  • 3+ years’ experience of Agile delivery and principles, SCRUM, SAFe, Kanban proving the ability to make effective decisions within fast-moving delivery
  • 2+ years’ experience with tools such as JIRA, Trello, MS Project
  • Experience in the Telecommunications industry
  • Experience of being accountable for all sizes of delivery challenges, e.g. project, multi-team, programme / enterprise
  • A commercial and technical thinker who can understand business and technology in parallel to ensure communication and information is clear and well understood between the two disciplines
  • Strong decision maker and confident of maintaining a position for NTT DATA in the face of scrutiny
  • Demonstrable experience as an accomplished Delivery Lead backed by a strong understand of software development
  • Full understanding of Operations and Service Level Needs
  • Has pro-actively developed business across an account with sales and account managers
  • Experience with articulating the automation of software delivery processes
  • Experience of mentoring and coaching senior to junior members in the practice and wider community, along with the client
  • Support backlog management for internal and client deliverables
  • Identify continuous improvements of deliveries
  • Ability to prioritise your time across multiple projects
  • Promote participation in knowledge sharing activities, both within the team and at a wider capability level and externally where appropriate

Desirable:

  • Experience of managing the delivery of Cloud, Integration and / or CRM solutions, including Azure, MuleSoft, 365 Dynamics
  • Certifications – Scrum Master, Prince, ITIL
  • Experience with the delivery of Responsive Web\Mobile Native Frameworks
  • Actively shares/documents thoughts and views on IT delivery
