The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Full-Stack Developer to join our growing technology practice, based out of our Solihull office, supporting various clients across multiple sectors.

The Opportunity

  • Responsible for understanding and explaining best practices, designs and patterns and applying these through software engineering practices to deliver and support the expected requirements and tasks.
  • These tasks could well cover the following:
    • The need for designing and developing Front-End (Website, Mobile Native) Modules, API Specifications, API Implementations, Integration Flows between various endpoints or a collection of Microservices. 
    • Use of defined Front-End/API/Integration/Development Frameworks. 
    • Different testing methodologies for UI, behaviour-driven, functional and non-functional needs (Performance and Security Testing). 

The Person

  • Strong appreciation, knowledge and experience of designing, developing and testing software against a defined product backlog using appropriate analysis and research skills, alongside experience of the successful delivery of designs and artefacts for multi-tiered, modern software applications, including Front-End Modules, APIs, Integration and Microservices based applications and services
  • Knowledge and experience of the automation and setup of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment to local and predominately cloud based environments, as well as supporting the testing of those deployments. As such, an ability to communicate with internal and external teams to support delivery is important.
  • Mobile Native advisory, design, development, packaging and testing for Android and iOS
  • Experience of integrating with endpoint types such as SOAP, REST, SQL/No-SQL, SAP, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, SaaS and secure private datacentre hosted systems. Thus, knowledge and experience of the application of Enterprise Integration Patterns is paramount.
  • Good practical experience with at least three of the following: Front-End JavaScript Frameworks such as Flask, ReactJS, React Native, Python Web Framework Spring Framework, Node.js, API Specifications (Swagger/OpenAPI, RAML), Docker, Container Orchestrators (Kuberbetes, OpenShift), Functional Programming frameworks (Lambda, ServerLess, Scala).
  • Experience with the automation of software delivery processes, i.e. CI/CD, using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, TeamCity, Git and goos experience of delivering under various methodologies and processes such as Agile, Scrum/Kanban, BDD and Waterfall.
