Job Advert Description:



  • be able to manage multiple complex delivery items across multiple vendors
  • ensure that these delivery items are delivered to cost and time.
  • work with multiple project tracking and delivery tools
  • manage the delivery of items into live (including implementation planning and go / no go calls)
  • work with other internal teams to ensure a timely delivery of linked items
  • ensure that requirements, designs or any other issues / documents are appropriately signed off or resolved.
  • manage release into live, ensuring that delivery teams meet their committed date
  • manage the release contents and release notes from suppliers ensuring that the relevant parties within the organisation and other vendors are aware of the plans
  • understand and manage the interactions and dependencies between different vendor deliveries
  • manage the scope of requirements during the development.
  • manage risks to the delivery items
  • Establishing offshore and near-shore delivery teams
  • Managing distributed deliveries – UK –Europe – India




  • be able to clearly and concisely communicate the current state of your projects
  • identify and escalate appropriately any significant issues or blockers
  • communicate appropriately to differing levels of the organization (from board level to highly technical developers)
  • manage communications with other parts of the business (for example Member Services and the community teams)



  • take ownership of the estimation and change request inputs to various vendors ensuring that responses are provided in a timely manner
  • track the status of requested changes and approvals



  • be able to manage multiple vendors, changes and risks having the knowledge of all of these at your finger tips
  • have a strong understanding of both waterfall and Agile development methodologies and associated tools.
  • manage “warranty” issues raised post release and have the knowledge of previous issues to spot common trends



  • be able to provide necessary support to the development team.
  • lead by example, allowing the wider design team (internal and external) to see how they should work with the rest of the business

Skills and Experience (also provide details of Qualifications)

1.  Need to be proactive.

2. Highly capable resource who will have recent, hands-on experience delivering solutions across multiple vendors ideally in the telecommunications space.

  You will need:

  • Strong digital project delivery experience, using Agile Scrum methodologies as well as a traditional Waterfall approach
  • Have experience working as a Project Manager in an environment of multiple projects with challenging timeframes and deliverables
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Experience within both corporate and start-up environments would be beneficial
  • Background in software development and/or architecture
  • Strong experience with Agile methods and practices - BDD, unit testing, continuous integration
  • Atlassian toolset knowledge would be a plus (i.e. JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, Stash etc.)
  • Digital DevOps knowledge
  • Knowledge on AWS, AEM and Hybris is preferable

There is a strong on site delivery team (for design, development and test) and this role will need to work with almost all of these people individually. So it is essential that you are aware of your impact on others, when this is positive and negative, how to motivate, engage and interact with the rest of the team
