What you'll be doing:

  • Own overall delivery accountability across managed services accounts for central government clients, covering cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), infrastructure services, and the development and support of business applications.
  • Ensure services are delivered in line with contractual commitments, SLAs and KPIs.
  • Maintain service stability while driving continuous improvement and service transformation.
  • Senior point of escalation for major incidents and delivery risks.
  • Build and maintain excellent senior client relationships - achieving strong customer satisfaction and feedback.
  • Manage client expectations and proactively address risks and issues.
  • Lead governance forums such as service reviews, programme boards.
  • Collaborate closely with Client Partners and senior leadership to drive business growth.
  • Own the delivery P&L, including cost control, margin and forecast accuracy.
  • Manage scope changes and work with the client partner to contract new demand.
  • Build a culture within the team of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Implement structured development and performance management for the team such as objective setting, regular reviews, feedback and training.
  • Ensure that established internal governance and assurance mechanisms are applied and that accurate reporting and data on service performance is provided to all relevant stakeholders.

What experience you'll bring:

  • Proven experience leading large, complex managed services engagements.
  • Strong background across infrastructure services (cloud, platform, EUC) and application delivery/support.
  • Senior client-facing leadership experience.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen including contracting.
  • Experience leading service transitions or transformations.
  • Experience operating in multi-vendor delivery models.
  • Excellent governance, escalation, and decision-making skills.
  • Advanced stakeholder management, communication, negotiation and conflict management skills​.
  • Familiar with methodologies including ITIL, Agile, DevOps.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and COTS products (ERP, CRM, Data).
  • Desirable – experience working with central government processes and methods, including the GDS Service Standard and Technical Code of Practice.
