People & Culture Advisory Specialist
Human Resources, London

The team you'll be working with:

Join our small but perfectly formed People Advisory team in the UK&I! You'll join us on a 12 month fixed term contract, working 2 days a week in one of our London offices near Old Street or Bank.

What you'll be doing:

As our People & Culture (P&C) Advisory Specialist, you’ll be a key member of the P&C Advisory team, focusing on supporting employee relations case management and ensuring the smooth delivery of people processes with a focus on aligning policies across multiple entities. You’ll provide trusted guidance, manage documentation and data insights, and help maintain a fair, compliant, and people‑centred approach to employee relations.

This is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract (maternity cover) — ideal for someone passionate about employee experience, detail‑driven, and ready to contribute meaningfully within a collaborative and supportive team.

Policy and Compliance

  • Take ownership of People & Culture policies and procedures, ensuring they’re reviewed, updated, and aligned with employment legislation and best practice.
  • Support the interpretation and application of UK employment law, ensuring organisational compliance and providing clear, practical guidance to stakeholders.
  • Support the communication and rollout of policy changes across the business, helping managers and employees understand updates clearly.
  • Maintain awareness of legislative developments, proactively advising on required policy amendments and risk mitigation.

Employee Relations Support

  • Partner with the P&C Advisory team on employee relations cases, preparing key documentation such as invite letters, drafting settlement agreements, and follow‑up correspondence.
  • Coordinate and support formal meetings and hearings, including scheduling, logistics, and professional note‑taking.
  • Manage referrals to Occupational Health and summarise reports to support case discussions and outcomes.
  • Provide accurate, legally informed advice to managers and employees on day‑to‑day employee relations matters.

Coordination and Administrative Management

  • Collaborate with other P&C support teams — including Payroll — to ensure employee exits and other people processes run efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintain and update case trackers and personnel files to ensure timely, compliant, and consistent documentation.
  • Handle sensitive employee information with care, confidentiality, and professionalism.

Data and Insights (Employee Relations Focus)

  • Track and analyse employee relations data to identify trends, case patterns, and areas for improvement.
  • Monitor volumes, timelines, and case outcomes to support proactive and consistent case management.
  • Summarise insights and create reports  to help shape future policy, training, and prevention strategies.
  • Use data to highlight recurring themes, risks, and opportunities for improving employee experience and organisational culture.

Projects and Initiatives

  • Support ad‑hoc P&C projects and initiatives that enhance engagement, wellbeing, and culture.
  • Collaborate with global P&C teams to harmonise policies across all NTT entities, ensuring alignment, consistency, and reduction of duplicate or divergent local policies.

What experience you'll bring:

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Excellent written communication skills — clear, professional, and approachable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to analyse and present data clearly.
  • Expertise and practical understanding of UK employment law, with the ability to translate legislative requirements into actionable policy and advice.
  • Demonstrated experience managing or supporting ER cases in a legally compliant, risk‑aware manner.
  • Strong organisation and time‑management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • A collaborative approach and genuine enthusiasm for working with others to make a difference.

It’s a Bonus If You Have

  • Experience in a People & Culture or employee relations support role.
  • Knowledge of P&C systems or databases.
  • Experience supporting projects related to employee engagement or organisational change.
