What you'll be doing:
In this role with NTT DATA UK, you will play a crucial role in driving the company’s commercial growth, building client relationships, and developing new business opportunities. You will focus on implementing and refining sales strategies, identifying key opportunities, and ensuring that NTT DATA’s solutions are presented to clients in the most compelling way. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, including Client Partners and Solutions Directors, to ensure that your sales efforts are fully aligned with the company’s strategic direction and capabilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Sales Strategy & Development:
- Create and implement a sales strategy to achieve agreed revenue targets, with regular reviews to ensure success.
- Identify new clients and areas for growth within existing clients, with a focus on developing long-term, high-value accounts.
- Continuously assess market trends and client needs to ensure that your strategy stays on track and competitive.
- Business Development & Client Engagement:
- Cultivate relationships with target clients by understanding their specific needs and presenting tailored solutions.
- Deliver compelling sales presentations and pitches to prospective clients, showcasing NTT DATA’s unique value proposition.
- Represent NTT DATA at industry events, tradeshows, and conferences to build brand presence and establish new business relationships.
- Lead contract negotiations with clients, overcoming objections and closing deals to meet sales targets.
- Collaboration & Solution Alignment:
- Work closely with Solutions Directors and internal teams to stay informed on the latest solutions being developed, ensuring your client proposals are aligned with current offerings.
- Support Client Partners and Solutions Directors in the ideation and proposal stages, providing commercial expertise that enhances the competitive positioning of NTT DATA’s offerings.
- Engage in regular touchpoints with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth collaboration and alignment on key opportunities.
- Account Handover & Ongoing Client Management:
- Transition newly acquired client relationships to the appropriate Client Partner, ensuring a smooth handover and continuity in service delivery.
- Remain involved in client engagements to ensure needs are met, concerns are addressed, and appropriate internal experts are involved when necessary.
What experience you'll bring:
You will bring significant expertise in sales leadership, business development, and client management. In this role, your ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies, combined with your deep understanding of market dynamics and client needs, will be critical to driving growth. You will also be skilled in presenting and pitching to senior executives, with a proven track record of closing complex deals and achieving revenue targets.

- Strategic Sales Leadership:
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement sales strategies that align with business goals and market opportunities.
- Experience in identifying new business opportunities and developing key client relationships, particularly in high-value, long-term accounts.
- Business Development Expertise:
- Proven track record in securing new business, both with new clients and expanding within existing accounts.
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to represent NTT DATA at high-profile industry events and close complex deals.
- Collaboration & Internal Alignment:
- Ability to work closely with internal teams to stay informed on the latest solutions and ensure alignment between sales efforts and business capabilities.
- Commercial expertise that enhances the development of proposals and solutions, ensuring they are competitive and meet client needs.
- Client-Centric Mindset:
- Strong understanding of client needs, with the ability to address concerns, provide solutions, and build lasting relationships.
- Experience in managing client handovers and ensuring smooth transitions to ongoing account management.
